Location
La Riviere is a traditional stone-built cottage situated in quiet seclusion about a mile from the village of Reffuveille in the Manche region of Normandy. It is set amongst gentle rolling countryside with woods and fields. It has a specially equipped downstairs bedroom with full disabled access. Reffuveille provides basic shopping, but more extensive shopping and weekly markets are available in Mortain and St Hilaire du Harcouet, both about fifteen minutes drive away. Mont St Michel is under half an hour’s drive away from here as are the beaches of the Cotentin coast.
The property has a very attractive and homely style that retains a French feel, including wooden beams, comfortable sofas and a wood burning stove.
Access
Downstairs there is a single bedroom specially designed for wheelchair access with a hospital bed which lifts and tilts, a wheel-in shower with shower chair, grab rails and high w/c. The access around the property is for a standard wheelchair, but please contact us for further information. There is a car park space under a canopy which leads into property. Level access into main entrance.
Accommodation
Upstairs there are two double rooms and one triple room with an additional single bed on the landing. There is a large bathroom with w/c, bidet and washbasins (also a shower in the bath).
Facilities
On the ground floor there is a kitchen/diner with a breakfast bar, gas hob, oven, microwave, fridge, coffee machine and toaster. There is a washing machine and freezer in the utility room and a separate w/c. The spacious lounge has comfortable seating with satellite TV, video and Hi-Fi. Down a couple of steps is a further small seating area with table and chairs.
Outside there is large private garden containing fruit trees and a rope swing. There is a patio area with a barbecue and badminton equipment available for use. Off road parking and large garage, along with the great Normandy roads, mean this is a great place for touring too.

Additional Information
A 150 euros security deposit against any breakages is paid prior to arrival. Owners can supply linen at a charge.

Directions
Travelling from Villediue Les Poeles to St Hilaire Du Harcouet on the D999 turn off to D5 dirction mortain and Juvigny Le Tertre. Drive trhough the village of Reffuveille keeping the church on your right. Pass the cemetry on your left and take the next left. This is on a small unmarked crossroads. Continue down the small country road untill you come to a T-junction, turn right and La Riviere is on your right.

Nearest Airport to the accommodation: Dinard DNR.
Aproximate flight time from most UK airports is about 1hr
Nearest Ferry Ports St Malo and Caen are both 1 hour drive away. L'Harve and Cherbourg are 2 hrs drive.
