Location
Eria Resort has been specially designed with disabled guests in mind in strict compliance with all current specifications for disabled access. The Resort is located in the coastal and historic village of Máleme, the prefecture of Haniá, Crete. The landscape is renowned for its unparalleled natural beauty and is ideal for long walks to the traditional and hospitable village. The owner originally established Medical Shops, a chain of stores selling medical, paramedical and orthopaedic products and equipment. The owners daily contact with disabled people and their needs led him to create Eria Resort, the only hotel in Greece that addresses the special needs of such people by providing them all necessary conveniences to ensure an enjoyable vacation in Crete, such as but not limited to a specially equipped bus, comfortably adapted rooms and bathrooms, adapted equipment, excursions with accessibility, physiotherapy, gym, and athletic facilities. The manager and the staff of Eria Resort will always be at your disposal for any kind of service and information.
Access
All the hotel facilities are fully accessible to people with disabilities. Each room features special amenities especially designed for disabled people, such as: Electrically adjustable bed, trapeze bars (monkey poles), emergency switch with safety cord and intercom. The bathrooms are comfortable and specially adapted with horizontal and vertical shower grab bars.The swimming pool features a sloping ramp for easy access in and out.
Accommodation
At Eria Resort, all 11-twin/double rooms and 2 suites are elegantly decorated. All first floor rooms are accessible by lift. Rooms and suites are comfortable and easily accessible, while at the same time they feature a private bathroom and a balcony. From the balcony you will be able to enjoy a spectacular view of the Cretan sea and the olive grooves. Suites can accommodate up to four people, and some of the twin rooms can accommodate up to three people. All rooms and suites are equipped with: Autonomous air conditioning, telephone, wired or wireless network, radio, satellite TV, safe deposit box, mini bar, high quality linens, extra pillows in the wardrobe, iron/iron board and laundry service. The bathrooms are equipped with: shower chair, hairdryer, socket for shaver, shower cosmetics and bathrobes .

There is much to do in and around Eria Resort that you won't be bored for a moment. The hotel recommends an excursion programme carefully designed with disabled guests in mind. Suggestions for safe, scenic strolls, even more excursions, and a guide of Hania containing information about restaurants, coffee shops, cinemas, scuba diving, and horse riding among others, are available at the reception desk. Have fun in the large swimming pool featuring a sloping ramp for easy access in and out. The following mobility and safety aids, as well as activities are also offered free of charge: Waterproof chairs (with special small wheels), life jackets, water fun-games, water sports, water polo, water volley, water basket. In a fully equipped, pleasant and functional space you can conduct your physiotherapy sessions. Physiotherapy sessions can also take place at the swimming pool. Ask at the reception about the schedule and/or offers and book your appointment. The Spa offers a number of treatments in the hands of professionals: Beauty or healing massage; Jacuzzi Water massage with special salts or aromatic oils; Facial Treatments; Body scrub manicures/pedicures. The gym offers a variety of activities, most of which are suitable for wheelchair users. The specialised personnel offers aerobic and yoga sessions on a weekly basis.
