Witton View Cottage is one of two 17th century barn conversions in Durham Dales, west of Bishop Auckland, and at the foot of Pennine Fells.
The cottage is modern, spacious, and warm.
The cottage offers an ideal setting for birdwatching, and is surrounded by a wealth of local wildlife, facing the courtyard on one side, and the open country on the other.
Paved areas around the cottage make for ease of access.
The open plan kitchen has work spaces and hobs/oven, all under 90cm.
There are two small steps leading into the kitchen.
There is level access from the main entrance to the lounge, and the door is 72 cm wide.
The furniture can be moved, to improve accessibility.
The holiday cottage features oil fired central heating - included in the rental price, and a double bedroom and a twin bedroom.
The twin bedroom look out towards the village of Witton le Wear, about half a mile away over open fields and river side.
Both bedrooms feature countryside views.
With some patience and luck, you may be able to see a variety of local wildlife, such as deer, badgers, rabbits, and owls from your bedroom window.
The living room is equipped with Wi-Fi, Freeview television, and features large, arched windows into the courtyard.
The cottage is pet-friendly, as long as the pet is not left alone, and isnít on the beds or furniture.
The self-catering kitchen is spacious enough to use as a second sitting room.
It is equipped with a fridge freezer, electric oven and 4 ring hob, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine/dryer.
The kitchen also includes all cutlery, crockery, pots and pans, and kitchen tools you need during your stay.
The kitchen also features its own television and armchair.
