DisabledAccessHolidays.com is an online travel agent offering services to disabled people throughout the UK. With the exception of the privately owned properties listed in owners direct sections and UK properties, DisabledAccessHolidays.com provide financial protection through its membership of the award winning Global Travel Group on all wheelchair accessible holidays abroad. Disabled Access Holidays Ltd and its sister company Mobility Equipment Hire Direct Ltd offer wheelchair accessible accommodation, mobility equipment hire, wheelchair adapted taxi transfers and wheelchair assistance on flights to destinations throughout the world.


Our Story


Mike and Lynn Davis started Disabled Access Holidays after their own experiences when on holiday with their disabled son Christopher. After difficulties finding suitable holiday accommodation for their son, the Davis’s purchased and adapted an apartment in Puerto Pollensa. Due to popular demand, 3 more wheelchair accessible apartments followed and they are now all available to rent in Puerto Pollensa, Majorca.

The company expanded in 2008 to offer holidays for disabled people in the UK and abroad, partnering with Clydegrove Travel to offer ATOL protected holidays abroad through the Global Travel Group. In 2015 the company separated from Clydegrove Travel and Disabled Access Holidays Ltd became an independent member of The Global Travel Group for ATOL protection.

Following requests for independent mobility equipment hire in the UK and abroad, our sister company Mobility Equipment Hire Direct Ltd was registered in 2012. The website Mobility Equipment Hire Direct was launched in 2013 and Wheelchair Accessible Holiday Taxis (part of Mobility Equipment Hire Direct Ltd) was launched in 2015. At DisabledAccessHolidays.com we aim to provide a service tailored to the individual needs of our clients.

We have proudly opened up our new office in London for people who are visiting the capital London.

What we do

We are the experts in arranging holidays for disabled people with medical conditions and disabilities. Not sure on something or have a question; then just ask us, we aim to ensure you are 100% happy with every detail of your holiday from the time of booking until you return home. Our Service Includes:

  • Booking flights from most UK airports and arranging assistance at the airport
  • Recommending accessible hotels, apartments and villas in a variety of wheelchair accessible resorts
  • Helping disabled travellers by suggesting properties with wheel-in showers, pool hoists, ramped pool access and other services often required by disabled people on holiday
  • Guaranteed adapted rooms upon confirmation of booking
  • Arranging transfers in adapted vehicles
  • Sourcing and booking mobility equipment essential for day to day living

Hi I am Elsie and I am here with my sister Josie and we meet and greet all the customers who come into the office. We are here everyday between 10am and 3pm and we make sure there is no food lying about... thats our main jobs.... Meet, Greet and Eat. I love my job here, lots of people come and visit us, and many regular customers just pop in to see me and my sister even when they don't need a holiday. My favourite part of the day is going to the park at lunchtime, I see lots of people everyday there and i race around.... Kelvingrove Park is just the best!
