Location
West Meadow is a recently refurbished 2 bedroom bungalow located on a quiet road on the outskirts of Braunton village, close to Saunton Beach, in North Devon. Saunton Beach boasts 3.5 miles of sandy beach, on which rolls some of the country’s best surf! The long stretch of golden sand is backed by Braunton Burrows - the core of the UNESCO North Devon Biosphere Reserve and the second largest sand dune system in the UK. The beach is one of the few in the UK to welcome dogs all year round. The beach slipway has rubber matting at the end for ease of access and all-terrain wheelchairs are available to hire from Saunton Beach Shop (please book in advance).
Access
The double and twin beds are fully adjustable via an electronic handset. An XY ceiling hoist runs from the master bedroom into the ensuite wetroom (please bring your own sling). There is also a second family bathroom with an accessible bath. The kitchen has a large turning space and both the hob worktop and the sink worktop is height adjustable. In the living room, there is an electric riser recliner chair.
Accommodation
The bungalow sleeps 4-6 with one master double bedroom, one twin room, and a sofa bed in the living room. The living area is open plan, with a corner sofa (sofa bed) and a sitting to standing chair. Outside you’ll find a huge wrap-around fenced garden with a decking area that is accessed from sliding doors that come off of the kitchen/living area.
The accessible bungalow is situated within walking distance of Braunton village centre and 1.3 miles (3 minutes drive) away from Saunton Sands Beach. It is also on the main bus route which serves all of the local coastal areas.

The modern height adjustable kitchen features a tuck-away oven, accessible sink and storage for self-catering meals.

The self-catering property is fully equipped for a home-from-home experience. A variety of supermarkets and takeaways deliver to the property and there is an excellent selection of pubs, bars, restaurants, and cafes in the surrounding towns and villages.
Suitable For
This beach holiday is a fantastic break for families and small gatherings to get away from it all in serene surroundings. The property is totally dog-friendly and accepts assistance, therapy, and companion dogs. The local beach (Saunton Beach) is dog-friendly all year round, too.
