Location
The lodge is located at Melverley in Shropshire deep within the unique landscape of the Marches (the ancient name given to countryside on either side of the border between England and Wales). It offers visitors stylish comfortable accommodation with the added option of a variety of activity based leisure pursuits including paragliding and canoeing.
Access
The lodge has step free access via a ramp up to the entrance which then has a shallow threshold into the main corridor. The ground floor bedrooms are located off this corridor with a doorway into the open plan living area at the far end. The bedrooms have en-suite wet-rooms but please note these have narrow dimensions and no room for lateral transfer to the toilet. However there is an external wet-room/toilet facility located on the balcony adjacent to the front entrance which has right hand transfer and wheelchair turning space.
All the doorways within the building would only permit access for wheelchairs with a width of 26 inches or less. So for this reason in our opinion the property would not be suitable for most non weight-bearing wheelchair users with powered or wider manual wheelchairs. However with prior notice (for those guests who can transfer) a manual wheelchair of appropriate width could be supplied for guests to loan.
Accommodation
The property features two smaller bedrooms for double or single occupancy, with spectacular views of the Briedden Hills. The largest bedroom hasn't got the views like the other two, you still get the luxury of a king sized bed and a lovely walk in wet room with a waterfall shower, tea & coffee making facilities, flat screen TV/DVD Player, WiFi and a full sized wardrobe like the others. The room is big enough for a small family of three as there is room for a fold out bed (supplied) or a travel cot (also supplied if needed). You can enjoy the beautiful views from the sun balcony which is situated off the communal lounge area.

Each room has a walk in wet room with a waterfall shower, king sized bed with 400 thread count Eygptian cotton linen, tea & coffee making facilities, flat screen TV/DVD Player, WiFi and a full sized wardrobe.
