The cottage has been converted from the original brick building which was used for the making and storing of cheese when it was part of the owner's dairy farm - it is found down a private lane just off the road running through the hamlet of Marchamley. The historic village of Hodnet is a mile down the road, with the medieval county town of Shrewsbury just 14 miles to the south-west. It is also only ten miles from the Welsh border!

This self-catering cottage has extra wide doors throughout. The ground floor contains a large open-plan living room with kitchen and dining area as well as a main double bedroom which features two electric profiling single beds which can be left as singles or clipped together to make a superking bed (please advise when booking how you would like the beds arranged). The ground floor wetroom allows plenty of floor space for the wheelchair user. There is a small single bedroom on the first floor for use by an unrelated carer accompanying a disabled person or elderly couple or for a third family member. The owners are happy to accept one or two well-behaved pets as they appreciate that many visitors like to holiday with their pets.
The wide front door opens directly into the spacious hallway with living room, wet room and main bedroom off plus staircase to the single first-floor bedroom. The living room with kitchen area and hallway have oak flooring, the main bedroom has non-slip carpet tiles and the stairs and single bedroom are carpeted. There is electric underfloor heating throughout the downstairs area and a radiator in the single bedroom. All exterior doors and windows are double-glazed.
