Location
Three privately owned apartments located near Lagos in the Algarve, Portugal. The apartments have been fully converted to a high standard and offer all the necessary equipment for the disabled holiday maker and their family.

Lagos is a unique little jewel in the Algarve. It offers a balance of the charm and history of the Portuguese culture with a blend of creature comforts and facilities to please the desires of the most discerning tourist.

The warmth of Lagos and its people make it difficult to resist falling in love with this seaside town. Lagos has superb safe beaches all within 10 minutes of the apartments; it has also a great range of restaurants, takeaways, a fish market, farmers market and numerous attractions within easy reach.

Access
There is wheelchair access to the whole of the ground floor area including the patio, games room and swimming pool.
The swimming pool has an oxford dipper pool hoist with hammock or seat transfer into the pool.
All apartments have use of courtesy adapted accessible vehicles.

Accommodation
The property consists of three ground floor apartments one of which has 3 bedrooms (apartment 1), 2 bedrooms (apartment 2) and the other is a studio. All rooms have been furnished and equipped to a high standard.
The apartments offer flexible accommodation.
The 3 bedroom apartment can accommodate 6/7 people (plus cot) and the 2 bedroom apartment 4 people (plus cot).
If holidaying with family and friends then both apartments can be booked and linked together with adjoining doors through the games room, making it possible to accommodate 10 plus 2 cots. All bedrooms are equipped with air-conditioning which are inverters, so during the winter will act as heaters if required. Bed linen and towels are also provided and beach towels are available upon request.
Amenities include a colour television, DVD player, Digital TV, video recorder, washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave and kettle and fully equipped kitchen.

• Apartment 1: Is on the ground floor and has a good size lounge with access via patio doors to the swimming pool and sun bathing terrace. The property offers a lovely feature wood burner in the lounge. Accommodation includes 2 Double bedrooms both with additional single profiling hospital beds, 1 twin / ziplock double, family bathroom with shower over bath, wet room and open plan living room / kitchen / diner.
• Apartment 2: Is also on the ground floor with a good size lounge that has a ramp pathway access via patio doors to the swimming pool and sun bathing terrace. Accommodation includes 1 Double bedroom, 1 twin ( 1 bed being a single profiling hospital bed), wetroom, and open plan living room / kitchen / diner.

Facilities
The apartments share a swimming pool and a games room with pool table, darts, table top football, board games, books, dvds etc. Plenty to keep the family occupied.
The rental includes use of a courtesy wheelchair adapted vehicle.

Funchal Ridge is the ideal location for a peaceful and relaxing family holiday for the disabled and able bodied holiday maker and their family.

Equipment
Commode shower chairs, mobile transfer hoists, swimming pool hoist with hammock or chair lift, fully profiling height adjustable hospital beds, electric head and toe tilt double bed, rise and recline armchairs, paediatric shower and toileting systems and a range of swimming pool aids are available free of charge.
Scooters and other mobility equipment are available for hire locally; this must be arranged at the time of booking of your holiday.

Getting there
The resort is approximately 50 mins from Faro airport. Approximate flight time from London 2.5 hrs
