This cottage provides comfortable, accessible, dog friendly self catering accommodation for 5 in what was once Kirkennan's stable block. The cottage looks out over grass, fields and trees at the front and it has its own sheltered and enclosed rear garden with a lawn and patio (outside furniture provided). It is ideally located to visit the numerous attractions of Dumfries and Galloway.

Accommodation
The cottage was once part of the estates stable block, now converted and restored the accommodation sleeps up to five guests in three bedrooms (1 double, 1 Twin and 1 Single). Overlooking grass, fields and trees at the front it has its own sheltered and enclosed rear garden with a lawn and patio, which is accessed by the ramp in picture 12 or via a level access side gate.
Guests are welcome to make use of all the estate facilities including the walled garden (with table tennis table), the landscaped gardens, and Jock's wood. Much of the formal gardens are accessible as there are a number of paved private roads which extend through them providing easy access for wheelchairs, pushchairs, young bike riders and mobility scooters alike. There is also a mobility scooter onsite which guests are welcome to use to enjoy them!
Kirkennan is close to many fine beaches on the Solway Coast, historic monuments, walks, golf courses, boating, fishing, gardens and a range of children's attractions. There is a community run village shop, pub and a restaurant just one mile away in Palnackie.
The owners are more than happy to move or remove furniture to make more room if required. For example they can remove an armchair from the lounge area or remove the twin room bedside cabinets and replaced with a wheeled bed table. Please just ask when making your enquiry.
Other facilities include a free WiFi, cycle store, garage (for one car) and with prior arrangement up to two well behaved dogs are welcome in the cottage. The portable ramp shown in picture 12 can also be borrowed to take to other locations whilst on holiday at the cottage.

Hot water, heating (both provided by district heating biomass system), electricity, bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. DVD. Digital radio with i-pod dock. Electric cooker. Microwave. Dishwasher. Fridge/freezer. Washing machine. BBQ. Cycle store. High chair and cot available on request. Up to 2 well behaved dogs are welcome free of charge by arrangement, it may be possible to bring more - just ask. Garage (1 car) with additional parking for 1 other car. No smoking inside. Guests are welcome to make use of all the Estate facilities including the walled garden (with table tennis table), the landscaped gardens, and Jock's wood. NB: Small stream in Estate grounds, 50 yards, tidal river at edge of wood and fields.
