Location
Not far from Fort William, this accommodation offers a tranquil and magnificent location for your holiday at any time of the year. There is a choice of quality self-catering accommodation for all the family, set in a 400-acre estate amongst the majesty of the mountains and forests of the most beautiful Scottish Highlands and overlooking the Nevis Ski Centre at Aonach Mor.

The very well equipped 4 bedroom farmhouse, 3 and 4 bedroom cottages along with 2 bedroom log cabins, each have spectacular views.

The accommodation is setup to accommodate wheelchair users when needed. The approach is paved allowing easy access to the front door that has (like all our doors) a low threshold.

Access
The 4 bedroom farmhouse is wheelchair accessible and disabled friendly. Once indoors access is easy into the kitchen/diner and on into the bedroom or living room. The ground floor bedroom has a double bed with a mobile Oxford midi hoist when needed. A sliding door allows a chair to go into the en-suite bathroom. The 1.8 meter wide shower base has a seat and grab rails to help one to use the adapted shower. The toilet has a raised seat if needed and the basin is lowered. A self propelled wheelchair or an assisted wheelchair are available for assistance into the shower.

Accommodation
Downstairs:

• Heated drying room
  Ideal for all wet clothing if it has been raining. A dehumidifier is in place to speedily dry out coats and boots etc. A sink is provided so that you can wash dirty walking boots.
• Kitchen
  The farmhouse has an Aga with an additional separate hot plate. The Aga has ovens and warming ovens. It is kept on at all times so that it is ready to use and it also keeps the kitchen nice and cosy. There is also a gas hob for those that would prefer to use it and an electric oven for those that would prefer this form of cooking. A dishwasher is in place ready for deployment. The dining table is set out for 10 people with an additional high chair. A tall larder fridge and separate freezer will hold a weeks shopping. If you let us know that you would like your groceries delivered on the day of your arrival they can arrange that for you.
• Small lounge
  Laid out for games etc with a leather settee and bean bags.
• Large Lounge
  With leather settees and bean bags, the lounge has Sky HD + movies and sports TV, ready to use at all times. Unlimited broadband is installed for your use.
• Shower Room
  Located next to the Hot Tub room, it can be used to shower easily before using the hot tub.
• Hot Tub
  Available to use at all times, located indoors so that you can enjoy it whatever the weather, bathrobes are provided. This room also contains the washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing board with steam iron. The hot tub is kept at 36 degree C and it is inspected every day with the water always being changed on the day of departure. It is asked that you let the maintenance worker entry on a daily basis to balance the water.
• Bedroom (1) en-suite
  This bedroom is located off the kitchen. It has a large bathroom and a TV. A lighting system is operative from the double bed. This room is designed for both able bodied and disabled people.

Upstairs:

• Bedroom (2) en-suite
  This room has a double bed and a single bed. There is a cot ready for use along with a TV. The bathroom has a large bath.
• Bedroom (3) en-suite
  The room has 3 single beds and TV. The bathroom has a large bath.
• Bedroom (4)
  This bedroom has a full size bunk set and TV. It has the advantage of floor lighting so that as one gets out of bed the floor is lite up. The shower room downstairs can be used for this bedroom.
• Linen
  The best of Egyptian cotton is used for all the sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases and towels.

Facilities

• Hot Tub
  The farmhouse features a hot tub big enough for 6 people, located indoors, you can enjoy it any time of the day and whatever the weather. To add that little bit extra there is a 40 inch TV in the room with Sky HD+ Sport and movies. The views from the hot tub room are breathtaking.
• Log fire
  The owners felt that a farmhouse would not be a farmhouse if it did not have an open log fire in the sitting room so they made sure that you not only have a fire to sit by but a special place to house all the logs you want for your stay. The sitting room is fitted with a 40 inch TV with Sky HD+ Sport and Movies
• En-suite
  Knowing that people like to have their own bathroom, 3 out of the 4 bedrooms have their own bathroom. The 4th bedroom has a shower room. The bathrooms are fitted with a large bath big enough for you to really have a good soak. All the bedrooms are fitted with a TV.
• Kitchen
  A real farmhouse lives around the kitchen. It is the centre of good conversation. So the owners have provided an aga that is always on so that you can cook and huddle around. You can have all you food shopping delivered to your farmhouse and put in your refrigerator on the day of your arrival. they can advise you of the shops that deliver to Achaderry.

Equipment
Mobility hoists are available for hire. This must be arranged at time of booking holiday. The equipment available on site has no charge however hiring equipment through Disabled Access Holidays is chargeable.
