This hotel is situated on the waterfront in a quieter part of Sliema, with Sliema’s shops and facilities just 500m away. It is an all-inclusive hotel with facilities that are amongst the best in its class for a four-star hotel. Guests are able to do as much or as little as they choose, with ideal facilities for relaxing or active types. The Fortina overlooks the island’s majestic capital Valletta and has some great views from the front, out to sea and over to Marsamxett harbour. For such a large hotel there is a very relaxed feel and the overall ambience is a mellow and sophisticated one. The Fortina Spa Resort has established itself throughout Europe as one of the best short break spa treatment centres, and offers treatments of all kinds to suit all budgets. Décor is elegant and designed to relax the senses.

The hotel is completely accessible. There are a number of accessible rooms with wider doors, a bath and grab rails. There is also a pool hoist.

There are 220 rooms over eight floors serviced by six lifts. The tastefully decorated and comfortable rooms have all the modern amenities; individually controlled air cooling/heating; complimentary tea and coffee making facilities; European Satellite TV with pay movies on demand; safe deposit box; direct dial telephone; WC, bath or shower. Sea view rooms overlook the Valletta harbour. A variety of room types are available; twin or double bed rooms(all for two persons); Superior rooms(sleeping up to four persons in two queen sized beds) have either a balcony or French window; Deluxe rooms with 2 queen-size beds and balcony overlook the pool garden.
Facilities
Facilities include 4 swimming pools(2 outdoor, 2 indoor), an outdoor and indoor Jacuzzi, the Thalasso Spa Centre(maximum of two pool treatments per day), Sante Spa Centre and Belle Époque Beauty Centre; Fortina Fitness Centre which offers aerobics, step aerobics, slide and aqua aerobics with trained personnel. Daily activities are organised by professional instructors. A Scuba Diving School (May until October only)is available nearby. There's also a daily entertainments programme.

These do not incur any extra charges for the Table d’Hote menu - A La Carte menus are also available(extra charges apply). Special dietary requirements will always be catered for. The outdoor Lido bar offers great views and evening entertainment and there's also a garden bar.
