Villa Batalha Hotel (a high class 4 stars) is situated in Portugal’s central region, in Batalha village just at 1 hour distance from Lisbon airport. The hotel is in the centre of Batalha, near Batalha Monastery, an UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. Surrounded by a valley of local traditional white houses, along the Lena River, where the landscape goes from green valleys to the rugged beauty of the mountains, the hotel represents an innovative concept of hospitality with a high level of comfort, and a wide range of activities for all the guests.
Access
The Hotel Villa Batalha public areas are easily accessible, both inside and outside the building, as well as the parking areas. The entrance to the hotel is made via a large automatic door. The lobby is very spacious, with no steps nor obstacles.
The Reception desk has a lowered counter, which allows a personalized check-in. The aisles are wide, and all the doors are equipped with handles installed at an appropriate height. The elevators allow easy access to all the hotel areas. They are spacious and have side bars and buttons installed at an appropriate height.
The 93 rooms and the bathrooms have no steps. The room doors opening system is quite easy, with magnetic cards which function by approximation. The bathrooms have sliding doors, and have enough space for a wheelchair, allowing great accessibility. The areas are wide and allow the easy mobility of guests with special accessibility needs.
There are 12 rooms permanently prepared with safety bars and removable accessories. For added disabled guests comfort, the Hotel also offers seats to install inside the showers.
On the ground floor, there are 2 adapted toilets for guests with reduced mobility.
Outside, the sidewalks are wide and regular, allowing easy mobility through the gardens, in the riverside terrace and in the golf course and tennis court.
