This character B&B is nestled in the Snowdonia National Park overlooking the Mawddach Estuary and mountains, just five miles from the bustling market town of Dolgellau.
Built in 1868 with thick stone walls and massive timber beams, this former Victorian slate cutting mill was used by the quarrymen
to split rock into the famous Welsh roof slates. Wake up to stunning views, watch the tide come in over breakfast and watch the sun set over a drink on the terrace.
The Slate B&B has an accessible room named Seren, it provides:

There is level/ramped access into accommodation.
There are five en suite rooms, however, Seren is the only accessible bedroom:
- Seren is an accessible ground floor room near the front door with accessible wet room
- Miri Mawr and Bran have wonderful estuary views and larger, luxurious en suites
- Sain is a mid priced double room overlooking woodland across the road
- Sidan can be set up as 2 single beds or one superking and is a cosy, budget choice.
The bedrooms are snug and feature super comfy beds and an eclectic mix of custom-made and vintage furnishings with stylish new en suite facilities, free wifi and complimentary refreshments tray.
Everyone is welcome to enjoy the spacious communal Caban area with stunning views, honesty bar, books, maps and games.

Food and Drink
The "full Welsh" features free range eggs and sausages from an award-winning family farm in Arthog. The bacon is specially cured by Roberts,
the friendly butchers in Dolgellau which has been feeding local people for generations. John makes the bread, and the jams and tasty veggie
sausages are made by the local WI or friends and family. You can choose pancakes with either fruit or crispy free range bacon and the "Welsh continental"
features a fruity granola sundae, croissant and Welsh cheddar matured in Llechwedd slate caverns at Blaenau Ffestiniog. The delicious smoked salmon is provided by Rhydlewis Smokery in Ceridigion.
The Slate Shed serves fine and fruity apple juice grown organically on an Anglesey family farm.
