Not only are the caravans accessible, the beach at Caister on Sea is accessible, which makes this a fantastic destination for the whole family.

This particular holiday park has deck houses and chalets on offer, however none of these have accessibility features.

The Deck house features a master bedroom and twin bedroom which both come with an en-suite, while the fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need for a comfortable stay including a fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave.

The Chatlets feature a fully fitted kitchen and bathroom, along with heating throughout to keep you warm on those chillier evenings.

Of course since these aren't accessible then it wont apply much to disabled people or their carers, however if you're travelling with a large party that doesn't have many disabled people these places may be worth your while.

The Old Windebrowe Cottages are part of a traditional farmstead of huge historical importance. They occupied the cottages for 2 years after the death of their parents, and before their later move to the famous Dove Cottage in Grasmere. This is a large, beautiful and atmospheric building which has been skilfully refurbished to combine high specification whilst retaining its period charm. The ground floor includes two formal dining rooms, one of which is extremely spacious and suitable for parties, two lounges and a snooker room. The portable suitcase ramp which is used to enable wheelchair access into the property is easily relocated to provide step free access for wheelchair users (with assistance) down to the lower lounge and snooker room.

Wheelchair access to the attractively landscaped grounds is around the side of the building across a compacted surface which has a very shallow and wheelable gravel top dressing. 

Disabled Holiday with Hoists, Great Idea for Disabled in Centre Algarve, Portugal!!

This 14-bedroomed complex located near Olhao in the Algarve, Portugal. Centre Algarve has been fully designed and developed to offer all the fundamental equipment and a safe and secure environment for the disabled holiday maker and their family.

Located 2 minutes from Moncarapacho which is a small country town in the middle of an area which is home to orange orchards and horticulture. It exudes a calm, unhurried atmosphere of people going about their business in a relaxed and friendly way.

The 'Centre' of Moncarapacho is a charming cobbled square alongside the church where you can sit and have a drink or a meal beneath the jacoranda and palm trees. The town offers all the basic facilities, including three good small supermarkets and a small local produce market. There are also several decent restaurants and plenty of pavement cafes.

Algarve, Portugal southernmost region, is known for its Mediterranean beaches and golf resorts. Whitewashed fishing villages on low cliffs overlooking sandy coves were transformed in the 1960s, and now its central coast between Lagos and Faro is lined with villas, hotels, bars and restaurants. The region's western Atlantic coast and rugged interior are less developed.

Ty Carno has a beautiful conservatory with some outstanding views of the gardens and mountains and ground floor access for wheelchairs. It has an oak-beamed sitting room with 'real flame' stove, fully fitted oak kitchen, 2 bedrooms with exposed beams. One 'super king' bedroom, one twin bedroom and two bathrooms. The downstairs bathroom has a shower attachment and is suitable for a disabled person. Ty Carno Barn and Carno Bach can accommodate up to 8 adults + 2 children, by renting both units together.

Access into the property is via a small portable wooden ramp. There is a large lounge, a kitchenette and ramped access to a large sun room on the ground floor. There is also a ground floor bathroom with bath hoist accessed off of the lounge, where a single electrically adjustable bed has been placed to provide for wheelchair users and other guests who cannot use the stairs to get up to the main bedrooms.

With prior notice furniture could be rearranged and an additional single bed could be placed in the lounge if required. This property is adjoining a second smaller cottage.

Carno Bach has an oak-beamed sitting room with "real flame" stove and fully fitted oak kitchen/diner, shower room with wc and basin on the ground floor. Upstairs is one super king bedrooms and a small twin bedded room both with en-suite showers, wc and basins. The gardens are at the rear of the property. This unit is also wheelchair accessible.Ty Carno Barn and Carno Bach can accommodate up to 8 adults + 2 children, by renting both units together.

There is a ground floor wet-room accessed off of the lounge where furniture can be rearranged and a single bed can be placed to provide for wheelchair users and other guests who cannot use the stairs to get up to the two main bedrooms. This property is adjoining a second larger cottage 'Ty Carno' and there is an internal connecting door between the two (one high step).
